When did you start with Worley?
I started at Worley in 2022 after having completed my engineering hours working as an undergraduate metallurgist at a copper mine in the Mt Isa region. Having had some hands-on exposure to the operational side of the mining and minerals industry I was looking to work for a company where I could utilise the engineering design component to gain further experience in the field.

When did you start with Worley?
I started at Worley at the end of 2019, just before the pandemic lockdowns.
What did you know about Worley?
When I first heard about Worley, I was impressed by the range of projects and services that the company was involved in – from renewable energies such as solar, hydrogen and environmental consulting to the more traditional oil & gas industries onshore and offshore. As my university degree helped me explore digital tools such as virtual reality headsets and digital twins, I was drawn to how Worley utilised these tools across projects – and as I have worked on more projects, I’ve also discovered other tools such as photogrammetry and laser scanning which are integral to how we deliver outcomes for our customers efficiently and safely.
What opportunities have come your way at Worley?
I have been very fortunate to have had experiences across a range of areas in the business which has literally taken me across Australia. I initially started in the Digital Transformation group where I was responsible for designing an internal skills-search and resourcing platform, which allowed me to grow my network in local and international locations. From there, I decided to move into engineering (technical services) where for the past 4 years I have worked on a range of onshore/offshore projects that are critical to Australia’s energy infrastructure, security and transition to more renewable sources. Knowing that I am contributing to something that is important for all of us now and in the future gives me motivation and satisfaction in the work that I do every day.
Aside from the technical work, I’ve also had the chance to contribute globally by developing the Graduate Development Program for all Worley graduates, as well as chairing Worley’s Australian Graduate Connect Committee where I was able to personally meet and greet graduates and senior leaders in Perth, Brisbane and Melbourne. Being able to shape the early careers of fellow and future young professionals is a legacy that I am proud to have at Worley.
