Flexibility

McGrathNicol recognises the importance of flexibility in supporting our staff to balance their work and personal lives.  We embrace and support a 60/40 (office/remote working) approach, as well as the ability for people to flex start and finish times to suit their day. 

We also provide paid study, exam and graduation leave, career breaks up to 12 months, community service leave, defence leave and the ability to purchase additional annual leave. 

Wellbeing

McGrathNicol believes that maintaining the positive health and wellbeing of our people is central to our high-performance culture. We do this in a number of ways:

  • Holding wellbeing sessions hosted by organisations such as the Black Dog Institute, the Good Day Project, The Resilience Project and Lifeline.
  • Supporting wellness charities, such as Beyond Blue and R U OK.
  • Our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a free, voluntary and confidential counselling service offered to all staff and their families.
  • McGrathNicol Ambassadors are trained Mental Health First Aiders as well as being equipped as EAP champions. Ambassadors from each office meet monthly to share the initiatives they have each been working on.
  • End of trip building facilities, ergonomic desks, annual flu vaccinations and provision of daily fresh fruit.
  • Supporting team sporting events and group exercise classes such as yoga.
  • McGrathNicol is committed to supporting staff who may be affected by family or domestic violence, and provides five days’ paid leave to assist them during a very personal and difficult time.
