About the Role
As an Allied Health Assistant / Habit Coach, you’ll:
Support Participants: Help NDIS participants of all ages achieve their goals, working in their homes, workplaces, and community settings.
Deliver Therapy Plans: Work under the guidance of experienced OTs, Speech Pathologists, Physiotherapists, and Positive Behaviour Support Practitioners.
Make a Difference: Enable participants to build skills, increase independence, and reach their full potential.
What Does a Typical Session Look Like?
Building Independence: Support a teenager in mastering public transport to commute to school independently.
Fostering Healthy Habits: Help an adult participant with grocery shopping and meal prep for the week.
Encouraging Social Skills: Assist a young child with their after-school routine, focusing on turn-taking and play.
Who Can Apply?
We’re looking for students who are:
In Their 2nd Year or Later: Studying a degree in Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, or Physiotherapy.
OR
Qualified: Have completed a Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance or a related qualification.
You’ll also need to:
Be available at least two afternoons per week (3:30–6:30 PM).
Have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
Be willing to travel to surrounding areas.
Be passionate about working in the disability sector and helping others thrive.
