Our Vacation Program is designed for students who want real insight into professional life and a meaningful start to their career. Over 4 to 6 weeks, you will gain hands‑on experience working with teams across accounting, tax and advisory, supporting a wide range of complex and dynamic clients. It is an opportunity to see how your studies translate into real work and what life as a graduate at Grant Thornton could look like.

Our Risk Consulting team partners closely with clients on their risk management processes and strategies – ensuring they are paying their people correctly, securing their cyber resilience, helping them to spot early issues in your governance procedures and ready to tackle crime targeting their industry sector.

Our Risk Consulting team accepts applications from students of all disciplines but is particularly well suited to students majoring in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, Economics, Law, Data Analytics or Business Information Systems.
To be eligible for our 2026/2027 Risk Consulting Vacation Program, you must be:
International students and graduates
We welcome applications from international students who are studying at an Australian tertiary institution. To be eligible to apply, you will need to demonstrate that you have full time working rights within Australia at the time of your application. We recommend you review our international student and graduate eligibility information prior to starting your application.
Please note: Grant Thornton Australia will not sponsor students or graduates for the purposes of residency. Successful candidates will be required, as a condition of their employment, to maintain a current visa or where relevant, to independently apply for and obtain permanent residency.
