Early Career Trainee - Operations - Data Science

The Programme 

The Early Career Training is a 6-month program up to 1 year and it is an investment in fresh talents where GE trains fresh graduates who meet the required criteria to perform their traineeship in a GE business.  
 
The traineeship duration varies upon business requirement and will develop the general skills of the trainee and provide on the job knowledge and technical experience.  
 
Positions requiring understanding of concepts, methods and procedures. 

What You Will Do 

  • Assist with Data analysis and repositories for day-to-day reporting needs. 
  • Analysis, reports & follow up related to Customer Experience Surveys and actions. 
  • Monitor installed base changes and track recommendations every day. 
  • Prepare communications to be shared with the region. 
  • Build Algorithms & Reports that enable analysis & follow up related to Best Running Fleet actions which target improvement in performance & reliability of the fleet. 
  • Monitor key timelines for global critical activities on a day-to-day basis. 
  • Ensure timely follow ups with KPI owners and drive positive results. 
  • Participate in regional discussions for systems and processes. 
  • Follow up on reporting the operational hours of the units. 
  • Collaborate and partner with functions, stakeholders, and product owners. 
  • Support with other critical processes as needed for Escalations& operating rhythms.
  • Support Commercial & sales process for the reliability & performance related deals. 

Required Skills and Abilities 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering from an accredited university or institution. 
  • Maximum 2 years of experience in data reporting and/or data analysis-based role. 
  • Proficient in Excel, Intermediate skills in Windows and other Office apps, Basic VBA/Tableau skills or familiarity with basic programming languages. 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English. 
  • Data Science and/or related Engineering backgrounds are preferred. 
  • Demonstrated accountability and ownership of tasks with quality and integrity. 
  • Ability and flexibility to handle pressure. 
  • Proven to be a team player, keen to learn and adapt to change.
  • Demonstrated project handling and continuous improvement.
