Lilydale Primary School is located in the outer Eastern suburbs of Melbourne, a gateway to the Yarra Valley region. The school was established in 1866 and its long history and tradition is preserved in the unique historic buildings complemented by modern addtions and facilities. The student population is currently 220.
The school is proud of its contribution towards the education of students in our district and is served by an enthusiastic and highly skilled staff. Parents are actively encouraged to be involved with their children¿s school life. Staff, students and school community are very proud of our school.
Specialist programs are offered in Music, Art, Digital Technology and Language. Gifted programs are offered at all levels. In addition there are literacy and numeracy intervention programs.
The township locality of our school has allowed a real sense of Community to develop. Many school programs involve interaction with local township business and community projects. There is extensive community support and an excellent spirit of cooperation.
