NES Consultant - APM Graduate Program - Bendigo

We are looking for passionate graduates to join our Bendigo team, who want to make a real difference in the lives of those they treat, to join our two-year Graduate Program.  

You’ll work with a team of dedicated allied health professionals, supporting your clients on their journey to return to work and return to life after physical or psychological injury.   

Everyday can look different at APM .. but as a NES Consultant, you will be: 

  • Providing initial assessment and vocational services for job seekers who have psychosocial mental health barriers to obtaining or sustaining employment.
  • Performing new employment vocational assessments, transferable skills analysis, and recovery support.
  • Conducting initial assessments with injured workers and case management for return to new employment.
  • Attending treater case conferences to assist client recovery.
  • Assisting injured workers towards new employment who have suffered a workplace injury or been involved in a motor vehicle accident.
  • Assessing and making recommendations on suitable employment options and pathways.
  • Writing detailed case notes and reports.
  • Opportunity to provide vocational counselling in person and via phone to support clients’ rehabilitation, as well as adjustment-to-injury counselling.
  • Working with adult clients living with varying socioeconomic, educational, psychosocial, and nationality backgrounds.

Now here’s the important bits... you need to:  

  • Hold a degree in Rehabilitation Counselling or Professional Psychology or Social Work
  • Be eligible for ASORC or AHPRA  or AASW accreditation, upon graduating 
  • Graduating in 2025 and can commence early 2026
  • Pass a national criminal check, prior to commencing employment   
  • Have full Australian working rights 
  • Hold a full drivers’ license, your own vehicle and comprehensive insurance - travel is required for the role
